GOVERNMENT OF PAKISTAN MINISTRY OF PORTS & SHIPPING (PORTS & SHIPPING WING) SITUATION VACANT 
Applications are invited from the eligible Merchant Marine candidates for the following vacant technical post in the Directorate General of Ports & Shipping Karachi. The required qualification, experience and age are mentioned against CNS posts to be filled in on contract basis for a period of two years.E

Chief Nautical Surveyor Pay Scale- MP-II (01 Post)
Essential: (a) Certificate of Competency as Master of a Foreign Going Ship I Deck Officer Class-I Master Mariner. (b) At least five years in command of Ships. Three years for candidates holding Extra - Masters Certificates or BSc (Technology in Maritime studies). (c) At least five years experience in any one of the following capacities. i. Nautical Surveyor (or equivalent post) in any Mercantile Marine Department of any country. Ii. Surveyor in classification society, recognized by Government of Pakistan. iii. Officer in staff branch of Naval Headquarters or in Naval Dockyad. (d) At least two years experience as Examiner of Master and Mates.

63 years
2. PAY PACKAGE AND FACILITIES. MP-II Pay Scale
Rs. 110000-16500-176000 with house rent allowance (Rs. 66000-110000), Utilities allowance (Rs.5500-8800) and Rs. 77,4301- for conveyance allowance, Medical and other allied facilities as admissible under the Government Rules. Approximate total: Rs.2,58,630/- to Rs.3,71,930/-
1. The candidate should be in good physical and mental health. 2. The appointment shall be on contract basis for a period of two years. 3.
